The minimum wage increased from $7.25 per hour to $8.00 per hour for employees to whom qualifying health benefits are offered or made available. The Wisconsin Cessation of Health Care Benefits poster has been updated to clarify that advance notice is required when employers decide to cease providing health care benefits. Under Wisconsin law, employers who plan to discontinue health care benefits to current employees, retirees, and dependents of employees must provide the affected individuals with 60 days’ notice of the cessation of benefits. Virginia Pregnancy Accommodation
The Virginia Pregnancy Accommodation poster has been released. A new law requires employers to make reasonable accommodation to the known limitations of an employee related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the employer. The new law is effective July 1, 2020.

The minimum wage will increase to $13.25 per hour inside the Portland Metro area, $11.50 per hour in nonurban counties, and $12.00 per hour in the remainder of the state effective July 1, 2020.
