The District of Columbia Family and Medical Leave Act During COVID-19 poster has been released by the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights. The COVID-19 Response Emergency Amendment Act temporarily amends the D.C. Family and Medical Leave Act to expand coverage during a public health emergency for employees working in the District of Columbia. The amendments are effective from March 17, 2020 to June 15, 2020. December 26, 2019 Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave

December 13, 2019 District of Columbia Paid Family Leave
The District of Columbia Paid Family Leave poster has been released by the District of Columbia, Department of Employment Services, Office of Paid Family Leave. The new law provides covered employees up to eight weeks of parental leave, six weeks of family leave, and two weeks of medical leave within a 52 workweek period. July 15, 2019 Nevada Paid Leave
The Nevada Paid Leave poster has been released by the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner. The Paid Leave Act requires employers with 50 or more employees to provide employees 0.01923 hours of paid leave for each hour worked, up to a maximum of 40 hours of paid leave per benefit year. July 15, 2019 Nevada Employee Sick or Sustained Injury
The Nevada Employee Sick or Sustained Injury poster was released by the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner. The new poster informs employees that an employer cannot require employees to be present at the workplace in order to notify the employer that they cannot work due to an illness or injury unrelated to work. May 29, 2019 New Jersey Family Leave Act
The New Jersey Family Leave Act poster has been updated to reflect that effective June 30, 2019, the New Jersey Family Leave Act will apply to employers with 30 or more employees. May 29, 2019 New Jersey Family Leave Insurance
The New Jersey Family Leave Insurance poster has been updated to reflect that effective July 1, 2020, New Jersey law provides up to 12 weeks of family leave insurance benefits.  The poster was also updated to reflect that family leave insurance can be used for leave due to domestic or sexual violence and that employees are permitted up to 56 days of intermittent leave.  The definition of a family member was also updated. Order Updated Poster >
May 23, 2019 Washington Rights as a Worker
The Washington Rights as a Worker poster has been updated with information about the new Paid Family and Medical Leave program.  Beginning in 2020, it will allow most employees to receive up to 12 weeks of paid leave for bonding after the birth or placement of a child, an employee’s serious health condition, a serious health condition of a qualifying family member and certain military events.  The poster was also updated with information about the new Equal Pay Opportunity Act.  The law prohibits employers from providing unequal pay or career advancement opportunities based on gender. The new poster provides information on the weekly benefits available under the new Paid Family and Medical Leave law, defines covered individuals, and describes the anti-retaliation and anti-discrimination provisions of the law. February 12, 2019 Oregon Paid Sick Time
The Oregon Paid Sick Time Poster has been updated to reflect some clarifications on Oregon’s Paid Sick Time Law. The poster clarifies the meaning of “substantially equivalent” underpaid time off (PTO) policies which include time off for other purposes and further clarifies what purposes sick time may be used under the law. February 7, 2019 Michigan Paid Medical Leave
The Michigan Paid Medical Leave poster has been released by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. The new Michigan Paid Medical Leave Act requires employers to provide one hour of paid medical leave for every 35 hours worked, effective March 29, 2019. January 14, 2019 New Jersey Earned Sick Leave
The New Jersey Earned Sick Leave poster has been updated to reflect a clarification on when sick leave is available for use by employees. July 22, 2020 Colorado Paid Leave and Whistleblower
The Colorado Paid Leave and Whistleblower poster has been released by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. The new poster provides notice to employees that they are entitled to paid leave under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, the amount of paid leave to which they are entitled, and that an employer cannot retaliate against an employee for requesting or using paid leave. In addition, the poster also addresses worker rights under the Public Health Emergency Whistleblower Law to express workplace health and safety concerns during public health emergencies.
