The Nevada Paid Leave poster has been released by the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner. The Paid Leave Act requires employers with 50 or more employees to provide employees 0.01923 hours of paid leave for each hour worked, up to a maximum of 40 hours of paid leave per benefit year. The Washington Rights as a Worker poster has been updated with information about the new Paid Family and Medical Leave program.  Beginning in 2020, it will allow most employees to receive up to 12 weeks of paid leave for bonding after the birth or placement of a child, an employee’s serious health condition, a serious health condition of a qualifying family member and certain military events.  The poster was also updated with information about the new Equal Pay Opportunity Act.  The law prohibits employers from providing unequal pay or career advancement opportunities based on gender. Employers may deduct payroll contributions of up to 0.344% from a covered individual’s wages or other earnings, and the maximum weekly amount of benefits available to eligible individuals will increase to $1,084.31 per week.
