Wyoming OSHA
The Wyoming OSHA poster has been updated to reflect new penalty information. Any willful violation resulting in the death of an employee, upon conviction of an employer, is punishable by fines, by imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, or both. Connecticut Paid Sick Leave
The Connecticut Paid Sick Leave poster has been updated to reflect a new law that expands the reasons in which service workers may use state-mandated paid sick leave. The new law, in addition to previously covered absences, now requires employers to provide paid sick leave for a mental health wellness day, and allows a covered employee to take leave if they are a parent or guardian of a child who is a victim of family violence or sexual assault. Maryland Child Labor
The Maryland Child Labor poster has been updated to clarify federal and state child labor law restrictions. Employers are generally subject to both state and federal child labor provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Certain provisions of Maryland state law may be less restrictive than federal law, and employers covered by the FLSA that only follow a less restrictive provision of Maryland state law will be in violation of federal law.
