Labor Law Updates

The New York Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase to the minimum wage for Long Island and Westchester County and remainder of New York State. The minimum wage for Long Island and Westchester County will increase from $13.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour and the remainder of New York State from $11.80 per hour to $12.50 per hour, effective December 31, 2020. The minimum wage for all employees in New York City will remain at the same $15.00 per hour rate. In addition, beginning December 31, 2020, an employer must pay the full applicable minimum wage rate, and cannot take any tip credit. Order Updated Poster >

The Alaska Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the minimum wage. The minimum wage rate will increase from $10.19 per hour to $10.34 per hour effective January 1, 2021. Order Updated Poster >

The New Mexico Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the minimum wage.  The minimum wage increased from $9.00 per hour to $10.50 per hour on January 1, 2021. Order Updated Poster >

The Michigan Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect the minimum wage rate effective January 1, 2021. The Michigan Bureau of Employment Relations, Wage and Hour Division announced the state’s scheduled minimum wage increase will not go into effect on January 1, 2021. The Illinois Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase to the minimum wage. The minimum wage will increase from $10.00 per hour to $11.00 per hour effective January 1, 2021. The 2020 minimum wage rate was also removed from the poster and future minimum wage increases are reflected on the poster through 2025. Order Updated Poster >

The California OSHA poster has been updated to reflect a new safety rule requiring employers to provide employees with access to their written Injury and Illness Prevention Plan. This posting appears on the California Combination Poster. Order Updated Poster >

The California Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The minimum wage will increase from $13.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees, and from $12.00 to $13.00 for employers with 25 or fewer employees effective January 1, 2021. The North Carolina Workers’ Compensation poster has been updated to reflect an increase to the cumulative medical cost amount when employers must report an injury to their worker’s compensation carrier or administrator. Employers must report an injury to their carrier/administrator and file a Form 19, Report of Injury, if an employee misses more than 1 day from work or if the cumulative medical costs exceed $4,000.00. The Missouri Unemployment Insurance poster has been updated to reflect a change to the phone number to report unemployment fraud and the Division of Employment Securities email address was updated. Order Updated Poster >

The Colorado Paid Leave and Whistleblower poster has been updated to reflect changes to the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA). Beginning in 2021, the HFWA covers employers with at least 16 employees and allows employees to earn 1 hour of paid leave per 30 hours worked, with a maximum of 48 hours of paid leave per year.
