Not Sure If You’re a Federal Contractor?

A business is a federal contractor under the law if:

  • You provide goods or services directly to the federal government
  • You are a ‘first tier’ or ‘second-tier’ vendor to a federal contractor (for example, you supply parts or develop technology used to fulfill the federal contract)
  • You are a financial institution that carries federal deposit insurance
  • Your business works on federally financed construction projects

If your company has U.S. government service contracts valued at more than $2,500 or government contracts of more than $10,000 for the manufacture or furnishing of materials or supplies, you must display a Walsh-Healey Act Poster.

Select the English version if you do not have a significant portion of Spanish-speaking employees who are not proficient in English.

The Spanish option is recommended (in addition to the English version) if you have a significant portion of Spanish-speaking employees who are not proficient in English. Because federal regulations do not define ‘significant portion,’ we recommend adding this option if more than five percent of your workforce includes Spanish-speaking employees who are not proficient in English.
