On February 9, 2026, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will announce the applicable minimum wage rates for workers performing work on or in connection with federal contracts covered by Executive Order 13658. These rates apply beginning May 11, 2026, to certain federal contracts entered into between January 1, 2015 and January 29, 2022, that were not renewed or extended on or after January 30, 2022.
Effective May 11, 2026, the minimum wage required under Executive Order 13658 will increase to $13.65 per hour (previously $13.30 per hour). The minimum cash wage for tipped employees performing work on or in connection with covered contracts will increase to $9.55 per hour.
The law requires covered federal contractors to display a poster where employees can easily see it informing them of the applicable minimum wage. We expect the poster to be released closer to the effective date. Once released, we will send the updated poster to affected Poster Guard customers as part of your service.
