Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave
The Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave poster has been released by the Maine Department of Labor. The new Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave law will provide up to 12 weeks of paid leave for family leave, medical leave, safe leave or leave related to a family member’s impending military deployment. Payroll withholdings from employee’s pay for the program will begin on January 1, 2025 and benefits will begin in 2026. The law requires employers to post a notice in the workplace of the benefits available under the program.
