The California Workers’ Compensation poster has been updated to reflect that an employee may consult a licensed attorney to advise the employee of their rights under the workers’ compensation laws and that the attorney’s fees, in most instances, will be paid from an injured employee’s recovery. June 12, 2026 Virginia Workers' Compensation
The Virginia Workers’ Compensation poster was updated to clarify employees’ rights when there is a dispute over benefits. The poster now states that if the employer’s insurance company will not agree to a written award providing benefits, the employee may file a claim directly with the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission. September 1, 2026 Virgin Islands Workers' Compensation
The U.S. Virgin Islands Workers’ Compensation poster has been released by the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Labor, Workers’ Compensation Administration. The poster advises an employee that all employers are covered by the Workers’ Compensation Administration insurance paid premiums paid by their employers, an employees responsibilities when filing a report of injury or occupational illness, and an employer’s responsibilities in completing their report within 8 days after receipt of notice to the Workers’ Compensation Administration.
